I have dissolved harmalas in vodka prior to. It will take just a little for a longer time for the water information to evap but it really does do the job a LOT a lot better than IPA.With regard to the Extreme, we basically purchased just one of such models not too long ago and explicitly examined to see how correct the readout was inside our Lab.
